| The Coast Guard hoisted a crewmember of the 1,095-foot container-vessel Ever Charming Saturday, August 21, 2010. Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., launched an MH-60J Jayhawk helicopter crew at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, to rendezvous with the Ever Charming approximately 250 nautical miles offshore. The helicopter crew hoisted and transported the 57-year old German man, who had been experiencing chest pains, back to Air Station Astoria where a Life Flight helicopter crew transported him to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Ore. SEATTLE – The Coast Guard hoisted a crewmember of the 1,095-foot container-vessel Ever Charming Saturday.
The Coast Guard District 13 Command Center here, received notification from the Ever Charming, approximately 1,000 nautical miles offshore, of a crewmember experiencing chest pains Friday at 4:20 p.m.
Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore., launched an MH-60J Jayhawk helicopter crew at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, to rendezvous with the Ever Charming approximately 250 nautical miles offshore.
Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento, Calif., launched an HC-130 Hercules crew to provide support for the helicopter crew.
The helicopter crew hoisted and transported the 57-year old German man back to Air Station Astoria where a Life Flight helicopter crew transported him to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Ore.
The condition of the man is unknown at this time.
