Port Restoration Expert to Speak in Seattle SEATTLE - Professor Hector H. Guerrero, an expert on port restoration, will lecture key Coast Guard, regional maritime leaders and the media on Monday at Seattle’s Pier 36, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Guerrero is in The USCG Integrated Support Command is located along the waterfront at Pier 36, two blocks west of Safeco Field. The address is: 1519 Alaskan Way South, Bldg. 7. The meeting will be held in the Chinook Room on the second floor. Dr. Guerrero is an associate professor and former Director of the MBA program at the Professionally he is active in the areas of Operations Management and Information Systems. He has published scholarly articles on the topics of logistics, material requirements planning, automated manufacturing, group technology, intelligent systems, forecasting, supply chain management, and demand management. Currently he is doing research on RFID and vessel routing under catastrophic events. Prior to entering academe, he worked as a power plant engineer for Dow Chemical Company, as a design and reliability engineer for Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., and as a consultant to Economic and Engineering Services, Inc. Professor Guerrero has experience in consulting and executive education with a wide variety of clients-- U.S. Government, Latin American firms, as well as many small and large Hector H.
