COAST GUARD AIRLIFTS ILL CREWMAN FROM 669-FOOT SHIP 

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard airlifted a 44-year-old man today from a 669-foot ship on the Columbia River near Longview, Wash. 

A crewman on the vessel called the Coast Guard at 12:05 p.m., reporting that a man was ill and needed immediate medical attention.

An HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Coast Guard Group/Air Station Astoria, Ore., was launched to assist. 

The crewmember was then flown back to Air Station Astoria where an awaiting ambulance transported him to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria for further medical treatment.
