SEATTLE - Coast Guard Station Portland, Ore., will host 16 U.S. Naval Sea Cadets for a 10-day training course oriented toward careers in the Coast Guard, Friday through Sunday, July 25.

The cadets, ranging from 14- to 17-years old, are part of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps, a non-profit youth organization that provides a drug, alcohol and gang free environment through cooperation with the U.S. military with no obligation to join.

The cadet training locations are Camp Rilea in Warrenton, Ore., Coast Guard Station Cape Dissapointment, Wash., and Coast Guard Air Station Astoria, Ore.

Cadets will be available for interview during this time frame. Contact Chief Petty Officer Justin Eaton at (503) 969-2998 to arrange an interview.
