SEATTLE — The dredge Bar Fly sits partially submerged and surrounded by containment boom near La Push, Wash., in the Quillayute River Tuesday.

The dredge has two, 500-gallon tanks with approximately 200 gallons of diesel fuel and 150 gallons of hydraulic oil on board. A recent over-flight reported a sheen approximately 100-feet long around the dredge.

The Harbormaster has deployed a boom around the dredge to help contain the spill.

A contracted diving and salvage company is currently on scene to assess the dredge and develop a salvage plan. Wasshington Department of Ecology was contacted and has been assisting with the spill recovery process.
