Coast Guard provides medical assistance near Quillayute River

SEATTLE — The Coast Guard provided medical assistance for a male who was injured working on a dredge moored at Quilllayute River Marina, Wash., Sunday.

Coast Guard Station Quillayute River, Wash., received a call at 11:30 a.m. from a crewmember with the Nehalem River Dredging Company stating that a coworker on board had been injured while working and was in need of assistance. 

Station Quillayute River provided first aid while they notified local emergency personnel. 

The injured man was transferred to the Clallam County Clinic in Forks, Wash., for further treatment.
