SEATTLE — The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 23-year old male who had fallen at Larrabee State Park near Bellingham, Wash., Saturday.

Coast Guard Station Bellingham, Wash., received a call at 11:30 a.m. from the Bellingham Fire Department requesting assistance to evacuate a male after he had fallen and injured himself.

Bellingham emergency medical personnel could not hike the male out of the park and needed transport via boat.

The man was transferred to the Fairhaven Ferry Terminal in Bellingham where local emergency medical personnel were waiting to transport him to the hospital.
