Coast Guard re-opens multiple river bars |

PORTLAND, Ore. — The Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Portland, Ore., re-opened the Columbia River, Tillamook Bay, Ore., and Depoe Bay river bars Saturday. The Coast Guard evaluates bar closures on an ongoing basis and re-opens these waterways as soon as the offshore weather improves. The Coast Guard understands the effects these closures have on commerce and makes every effort to re-open these waterways as soon as they are considered safe for navigation. |
