Hiker rescued from cliff near Seaside, Ore. |

ASTORIA, Ore. — The Coast Guard rescued a man from a cliff near Seaside, Ore., Saturday. Coast Guard Group/Air Station Astoria recieved a request for assistance from local authorities after the man fell 15 feet from a cliff while hiking injuring his head. When rescue teams were unable to reach the man, an MH-60 helicopter crew was dispatched to medically evacuate him. The man was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital for treatment. |
