Crew of Coast Guard Cutter Orcas returns to Coos Bay, Ore. |

ASTORIA, Ore. — The crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Orcas is scheduled to return to Coos, Bay, Ore. Thursday. The Orcas crew completed a 3,000 nautical mile deployment that took them through the Panama Canal and ended at the Coast Guard Yard in The Orcas was transported to the Coast Guard Yard to undergo midlife repairs. The Coast Guard Yard is a ship building and major repair facility and an essential part of the Coast Guard's core industrial base and fleet support operations.
