ATLANTIC OCEAN — Seaman Lucas Groom, of Prosser, Wash., makes adjustments to the sail rigging on the aft mast of Coast Guard Cutter Eagle Monday, August 10, 2009. For the swabs aboard Eagle, this was their first opportunity to set sail during their week aboard the ship, known as swab summer, which gives the incoming freshman a crash course in life at sea before starting their first academic year at the Coast Guard Academy.
