|
|
SEATTLE – Investigators from the Coast Guard, Jefferson County, Wash Dept of Fish and Wildlife and the National Response Center have been dispatched to the scene of a vessel that was on fire in Port Townsend, Wash, which eventually sank. Investigators have yet to determine the volume amount of potential pollution product that was aboard the vessel. Investigators will work throughout the night to try and determine the environmental impact of pollutant discharge, however the complexity of night time operations will be a factor in determining the accuracy of pollution threat and or discharge from the sunken vessel. |
