Press briefing to take place for barge grounding
PORTLAND, Ore. — Members of Coast Guard Sector Portland will be available for a press briefing to discuss the grounding of the barge New Dawn near the Hood River Thursday. The New Dawn ran aground while being towed through the Columbia River along with three other barges. Investigators from Sector Portland have reported no pollution as a result of the grounding.
