Coast Guard airlifts injured logger

SEATTLE — The Coast Guard airlifted an injured logger near La Push, Wash., Tuesday.

Coast Guard Group Port Angeles, Wash., received a request for assistance from Clallam County Dispatch at 12:45 p.m. for an injured logger one mile east of the mouth of the Quillayute River.  A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Port Angeles was launched to airlift the injured logger.

The injured logger was taken to the Quillayute State Airport near La Push where he was transferred to an Airlift Northwest helicopter crew.  The injured logger was taken to Harborview Medical Center, here, by the Airlift Northwest helicopter crew. His condition is unkown.
