Coast Guard master chief retires in Seattle

Seattle - A retirement ceremony for Coast Guard Master Chief Electricians Mate Donald Witt was held at Naval Engineering Support Unit Seattle Friday.

Witt served 30 years in the Coast Guard, having enlisted on August 29th 1978. He has been stationed at 15 units including cutters, long range navigation (LORAN) stations, and Station Cape Disappointment, Wash.  

He received one Commendation Award, two Achievement Awards, two Commandant's Letters of Commendation and eight Good Conduct Awards during his enlistment.

Witt will be returning to his hometown of Spokane, Wash.
