INJURED LOGGER MEDEVACED NEAR NEAH BAY, WASH.*Photo Available* | |

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard medically evacuated a logger after he was injured today in a rural area near Neah Bay, Wash. Coast Guard Station Neah Bay received a call at 12:42 p.m., from a Neah Bay 911 dispatcher requesting assistance for an injured logger who was crushed by a tree. Station Neah Bay and Neah Bay emergency medical service technicians launched mobile land unit crews to assist the logger. Neah Bay EMS technicians transported the injured logger to Station Neah Bay. An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles, Wash., then transported him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Coast Guard Group Port Angeles also assisted in the medical evacuation of the man by maintaining communications with the HH-65C crew during its transit to Seattle.
