MISSING BOATER SPURS SEARCH AT HENDERSON BAY | |

SEATTLE - The Coast Guard joined with Pierce County Fire Rescue to find and recover a 32-year-old male today at 4:35 p.m. at Henderson Bay in Carr Inlet. Coast Guard Sector Seattle received a call at 4:10 p.m. from a Good Samaritan that the man's boat was believed to have capsized and that he was missing. Two Coast Guard HH-65 helicopter crews from Group Port Angeles and a 41-foot utility boat crew from Station Seattle were launched to search for the missing boater. Pierce County Fire Rescue discovered the man had safely made it to shore with no injuries. | |
