COAST GUARD AUXILIARY TO OFFER FREE VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer free recreational vessel safety checks Saturday at the 42nd Avenue boat landing in Northeast Portland on Marine Drive.

Vessel safety checks will also take place at the Chinook Landing in Troutdale, Ore., on September 23.

Vessel safety examiners will conduct the safety checks from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at both locations.

Examiners will provide vessel safety checks and boating safety information on a first come-first serve basis. For more information contact Dick Anderson at 360-256-1812.
